  2. I enjoy this painting because even though you cannot see the face of the woman, the artist used body language to portray the emotion that the woman is feeling which seems to be a longing for the house on the hill.

  3. To me, it seems as if the young woman is looking for a place in the world and may have found something or someone associated with the house that could possibly show her the right way.

  5. For me this picture shows the inner feelings that we as humans face in our lives, this one being some sort of envy, or even self-sorrow for something that she can not obtain.
